Admitting that unabated Maoist violence has hit its education system hard, the Chhattisgarh government has sought central aid in the form of a special package to revive it in six most affected districts, an official said.
Ranchi: Former Chief Secretary Vijay Shankar Dubey has been appointed as the third Advisor to Jharkhand Governor MOH Farook.
According to a notification issued by the Raj Bhawan, Dubey, who was the first Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, will hold the charge of crucial departments like Planning and Development, Finance, Commercial Taxes, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Cabinet Coordination, Cabinet Vigilance, Election, Industries, Mines and Geology, Power, Road Construction, Building Construction, Registration, Forest and Environment, Revenue and Land Reforms and Urban Development.
Wilfred Lakra, another advisor, has been given the charge of the departments like Human Resource Development, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and NREP, Rural Works Department, Agriculture, Science and Technology, Food and Civil Supplies, Welfare and Social Welfare, Excise, Information Technology, Labour and Employment, Statistical Finance and Programme Implementation, Housing and Parliamentary affairs.
RR Prasad, former Director General of Police (DGP), will be looking after the affairs of Home, Health and Family Welfare, Arts, culture and Youth Affairs, Drinking water and Sanitation, Law, Public Relations Department, Tourism, Disaster management, Civil Aviation, Cooperative and Transport department.
