The process of registration will commence in all the districts of the state from September 26 this year.

The quantum of procurement of wheat, paddy and coarse cereals has gone up considerably during the last three years.

An easy-to-fill form has been drafted with a view to providing online registration facility to farmers. This process is being undertaken in the form of e-District Project with the cooperation of State Information Technology Department.

The registration will be made by Common Service Centres (CSCs) and kiosks of MP Online in all the districts. At both these places, a farmer will have to pay only Rs 10 for registration.

The farmer will be given a registration number along with receipt. He will be able to use this registration number in future also. At the kiosk, photo of farmer's loan book will also be snapped after scanning it.

In the prescribed proforma of registration, information about farmers' mobile phone numbers and bank account numbers is also being collected.

With this facility farmers will not have to face any unnecessary problem during the procurement process. They will be intimated in advance on their mobile phones about the dates on which they have to reach the procurement centre to sell their produce.

Not only this, the online payment against the procurement of their produce will also be transferred to their bank accounts the same day. The SMS alert will be used to send advance information to farmers.
