19 IPS officers reshuffled in Karnataka

The newly elected Congress government has made 19 transfers in the Police Department, including the Police Commissioners of Bangalore and Mysore

The newly elected Congress government has on Saturday made 19 transfers in the Police Department, including that of the Police Commissioners of Bangalore and Mysore.

While Principal Secretary, Home, Raghavendra H. Auradkar has replaced B.G. Jyothiprakash Mirji as the Bangalore Police Commissioner,

Mr. Mirji has been made the Principal Secretary, Home. Bangalore Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) M. Abdullah Saleem will be the new Police Commissioner for Mysore, replacing K.L. Sudheer, who has been transferred as Additional Director of Fire Services. IGP CID (Economic Offences) B. Dayanada will replace Mr. Saleem.

Additional Director-General of Police (Crimes and Technical Services) Ashit Mohan Prasad will replace IGP Gopal Hosur as the new chief of the police intelligence.

ADGP (Law and Order) Bipin Gopalkrishna has been made the Director General of Police CID and he will be replaced by M.N. Reddy.

ADGP (Internal Security) Alok Mohan has been posted as the ADGP (Administration). He will also continue to be ADGP (Internal Security).

N.S. Megharikh, ADGP CID will be ADGP (Crimes and Technical Services) while IGP Eastern Division (Davangere) Sanjay Sahay has been transferred as the IGP Internal Security division, Bangalore. IGP (Training) S. Parashiva Murthy will replace Mr. Sahay.

Additional Director of Fire Services N. Shivakumar will be the IGP (Planning and Modernisation), and IGP (Home Guards and Civil Defence) Syed Ulfath Hussain will be the new IGP Administration (Chief Office).
