Rolta India sets up GIS academy

Govt IT spending in India to reach $7.2 bn by 2015

Rolta India, a Mumbai-based IT company, is setting up an academy to train people in engineering and geospatial information ystems (GIS).  According to a Business Standard report, the company which provides IT-based GIS, engineering design automation (EDA) solutions and eSecurity services, will set up the academy with an initial cost of Rs 40-50 crore.   The academy will have four batches in a year comprising 250 executives each. The course will be for a duration of three months and also give job guarantee.
