Five IPS officers transferred in Bihar

In yet another reshuffle in police administration, the Bihar government transferred five IPS officers, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Patna. Bachchu Singh Meena, 1996 batch IPS officer, has been made the new SSP of Patna. He will replace Amit Kumar Jain, who would be now SP (security) in the Special Branch.

Patna: In yet another reshuffle in police administration, the Bihar government transferred five IPS officers, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Patna.

Bachchu Singh Meena, 1996 batch IPS officer, has been made the new SSP of Patna. He will replace Amit Kumar Jain, who would be now SP (security) in the Special Branch.

According to a notification isused by the Home (Police) Department, Aurangabad SP Sanjay Singh, would be new SSP of Bhagalpur, while Superintendent of Railway Police (Patna) Vivek Raj Singh would be the new SP of Aurangabad.

Pankaj Kumar Raj was appointed as new SRP of Patna. Meena had hit the headline after a police team led by him had raided the ancestral house of former RJD MP from Siwan Md Shahabuddin at Pratap Pur in Siwan district in 2001.
