There are 65 ministers in the Modi Government
Ranchi: Moved by the growing incidents of child abuse and trafficking, the Jharkhand Government has formed a five-member Jharkhand State Child Rights Protection Commission (JSCRPC).
Noted child rights activist Rup Lakshmi Munda has been appointed its Chairperson.
State Social Welfare Department has issued notification regarding the constitution of the state-level panel, which has Sunit Kalyan, Ranjana Kumari, Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Sunil Kumar as its members. Two other members are yet to be nominated.
Munda, who has a two-decade exposure in dealing with child protection rights as an activist of the Association against Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Children, will have three year stint as the Chairperson of JSCRPC.
As a child rights activist, she shot into the fame for highlighting the problems of trafficking of minors, especially girls, to other metropolitan cities including Delhi, as domestic help and subsequent abuse to them.
Her initiatives have led to the rescue a number of girls from different cities of the country.
