62 CSCs to be operational in Delhi from today

The Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will inaugurate Ramesh Nagar Citizen Service Centre 'Jeevan' this evening

New Delhi: All the 62 Citizen Service Centre (CSCs) in Delhi will be operational from today with the state Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurating the Ramesh Nagar 'Jeevan' centre this evening.

Implemented by 3i Infotech, the CSC will be a one stop shop for providing government and citizen centric services.

Besides offering payment facility for all kinds of utility services—bill payment facility for water, telephone and electricity—the service will also help citizens download forms and applications, provide birth and death certificate, and enable filing of tax returns.

The 'Jeevan-Portal' is envisioned as the informative, interactive, integrated and trusted service delivery channel for all government to business (G2B) and government to citizens (G2C) services of the state and its constituent departments.

The portal will also servie as the primary point of contact for all government services that the state aims to make easily accessible and available from any where in the world.

Regard's
Malvin.

This type of services to public is badly required in Delhi like metros as well as in other places considering the expansion of cities/towns due to increasing population. Time is preceous to all and it would help in clearing the day to day responsibilities of a person without any delay and tension. However, this type of system has already been implemented in the name of e-seva centers in Andhra Pradesh long back by the ex chief minister Shri. Chandrababu Naidu, the IT revolutionary leader in Hyderabad, which is working well. Accordingly, this system should work for the benefit of the public in Delhi. It should be expanded in the other parts of the country to streamline the working process.
