This is such an arbitrary idea. You think the Bihar government is itself lacking in data?
Heard of FMIS? Its a part of irrigation department and it gets high resolution military grade satellite images. And combined with the WRD officials, they do a excellent work in water level reporting and analysis. I think its published everyday on their site without fail.
Floods happened this time due to breach in embankment. You can't predict that sitting in MIT. You've got to walk the course and inspect the embankments inspect and inspect again each day.
Officers and stationed personnel have to be better equipped and better informed about what to do and how to report efficiently. Thats it.
I am pretty damn sure, this is a way to siphon off flood aid money.
Huge donations are done for flood victims right now, but what does the government propose to do after the water level goes down.
There are no good drainge system in Bihar.
Crore of rupees are given as donations. Will the government properly use these funds to develop opportunities to help poor people improve their economic conditions, specially those who have suffered due to the flood.
sir, i want to work with you.
