DP Agrawal is UPSC Chairman

DP Agrawal has taken over as Chairman of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India

New Delhi: DP Agrawal has taken over as Chairman of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India here last week.

Agrawal joined the commission as Member in October 2003. Prior to joining UPSC, he has served in the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-Delhi), in various capacities from October 1975 to July 1994.

Thereafter, from July 1994 to October 1998 he was Joint Educational Adviser in the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Later on, Agrawal was the Founder Director of the ABV—Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior from October 1998 to October 2003.

Agrawal has to his credit almost 30 years experience in the area of Teaching and Research in areas such as engineering, management, information technology, educational administration and institutional planning and management.
