The solution can store health information on mobile phone for use during crisis

Vallabh Vidyanagar (Gujarat): Material handling equipment manufacturer Elecon Engineering has unveiled healthcare solution that can store health information on mobile phone for use during crisis.

Called 'In Case of Emergency' (ICE), the software can help communicate one's health information, which can be communicated to pre-identified family members and friends during crisis through the mobile phone, reports IANS.

"The solution is compatible with most of the mobile phones and provides simplified access to critical health data and contact details," Elecon Chairman and Managing Director Prayasvin Patel said.

In addition, users will also be given an 'ICE card' that contains all relevant health information that could be used in case the mobile phone becomes non operational.

The solution has been developed by the company in association with California-based Corsoft.

ICE provides users' critical health data on their mobile phone. Quick access this data can enable a doctor to provide more informed care to the user at that time. Details includes allergies, medications and health history. Quick access to ICE data enables the Doctor provide informed care, which helps the user in expediting the recovery with minimal side effects.

Be informed and be safe.

What about the person holding the mobile phone happens to meet with an accident, how can ICE help the doctor attending on him/her? I think that can be vital too.
