Anita Chaudhary is new Land Resources Secretary

A 1976 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Haryana Cadre, Chaudhary is presently Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Anita Chaudhary as the next Secretary, Department of Land Resources in the Union Government.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved her name for the same. A 1976 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Haryana Cadre, Chaudhary is presently Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

She succeeds Rita Sinha, a 1973 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, after her superannuation on July 31, this year.

A Post Graduate in English Literature Chaudhary is on central deputation since January 8, 2004.
