Bihar HRD Secretary transferred

HRD Secretary KK Pathak was recently in the news for repeatedly defying the Patna High Court directive to appear before the court

Patna: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government transferred three IAS officers, including Human Resource Development (HRD) Secretary K K Pathak.

According to an official notification issued by the General Administration Department, Pathak has been made Managing Director of Beltron.

Pathak, a 1990-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, was recently in the news for repeatedly defying the Patna High Court directive to appear before the court. Earlier, he had hit the headlines for allegedly thrashing a Dalit employee of the Magadh University on deputation in the HRD.

On the other hand Arwal District Magistrate Dayashankar Pandey has been transferred and posted as Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Pandey has been given additional charge of Director, Animal Husbandry Department.

Comfed Managing Director Asangba Chuba AO will replace Pandey. Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Chairman Kuldeep Narain has been made Managing Director of Comfed. Narain will also hold additional charge of Managing Director of Bihar State Building Construction Department.

In another development, the state government transferred Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Singh. Darbhanga City SP Ranjeet Mishra will replace Singh, who has been asked to join as Commandant of the Bihar Military Police at Dumraon.

Singh has been shifted from Lakhisarai in the wake of resentment among policemen over death of seven cops in an encounter with the Maoists in Kajra hills of Lakhisarai district.
