New Delhi: Pune based Remote Data Exchange has come up with a novel device—Jai Kisan—to help millions of farmers plan their farm irrigation saving time and labour.

A farmer can use this small yet hi-tech device for remote management of his motor pump set up in his farm. For this, a farmer has to just call to the mobile kept near motor pump and press his code to start or stop the motor. The device also informs whether power is present or not.

Elaborating its salient features, Remote Data Exchange Director Tushar S Wakde said that the device works both with CDMA and GSM mobiles. A farmer has to just connect ‘Jai Kisan' to any mobile handset.

An in-built headphone jack makes its all too compact and easy to operate. The mobile phone near pumps set needs to be connected via headphone jack.

Once the device is installed the farmer sitting at his home can switch on or off his motor pump with a click.

The company has taken extensive trials on field with various motor capacities and different climatic conditions during last six months. Now the product was ready to hit the market, the Director said.

Wadke has urged the Government of India to provide subsidy to farmers on this product. The use of this product could prove as savings not only on electricity but water also.

Really helpful to the farmers to obtain required amount of water in time and duration. And also saved a time, money and energy. he should be utilized the spare time in income generating activities. Can it be possible for us to avail detail information regarding the above subject?
