National e-Gov awards announced

National awards in seven categories for e-Governance for 2009-10 will be given on February 18

New Delhi: Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Department of Information Technology have announced the national awards in seven categories for e-Governance 2009-10.
 
Based on the theme —e-Governance from Citizens perspective— the awards would be presented on February 18 during the 13th National Conference on e-Governance in Jaipur.

In the Excellence in Government Process Re-Engineering category Gold award has been bagged by Sulekha – Plan Formulation and Monitoring System for Decentralised Planning of Local Governments, Kerala Mission; silver by xTENDED gREEN nODE – xgn, Gujarat Pollution Control Board; and bronze by Online Scholarship Management System (OSMS), NIC and Andhra Pradesh State Minority Finance Corporation.
 
In the Exemplary Horizontal Transfer of ICT-based Best Practices category gold is bagged by ICT in Gujarat Judiciary, High Court of Gujarat; silver by Integrated Prison Management System, Government of Jharkhand; and bronze by e-Procurement, Centre for e-Governance, Bangalore.
 
For the Outstanding performance in Citizen-Centric Service Delivery category MP Online, MPOnline Limited, Government of Madhya Pradesh bagged the gold; Ship Ticket Advance Reservation System (STARS), Department of Shipping Services, Andaman and Nicobar Islands got silver; and Sevena – Civil Registration System and Hospital Kiosks Local Self Government Department, Government of Kerala bagged bronze.
 
In the Innovative usage of Technology in e-Governance category gold will be awarded to Forest Dwellers Survey System, Forest Department, Madhya Pradesh; silver will be awarded to i-GeoApproach (Internet Geomatics based Application for Planning Rural Road Connectivity to Habitations) under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority, Bhopal; and Reservoir Storage Monitoring System CADA, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
 
For the Exemplary Usage of ICT by PSUs category silver would be awarded to Web based Reservation System, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, Bangalore; and a special mention award would be given to B2B process of Integration Between ERP Systems of Oil Marketing Companies Indian Oil Corporation.
 
In the Best Government Website category silver would be awarded to Ministry of Rural Development website, Government of India.
 
In the Special Sectoral Award category gold will be awarded to State School Education Portal of Government of Madhya Pradesh; silver to School Report Cards under the project District Information System For education (DISE); and Higher Secondary Centralised Allotment Processing, Department of Education, Kerala State Information Technology Mission and NIC.
