J&K approves new pension policy for govt staff

It has reduced the qualifying length of service for getting full pensionary benefits from 30 to 28 years

Jammu: In a significant decision the Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to reduce the qualifying length of service for getting full pensionary benefits from 30 to 28 years.

The decision will benefit over 50,000 employees of the state.

Earlier, the employees with 30 years’ service were entitled to full pensionary benefits. The decision will help the employees with 28 years’ service only to reap the full pensionary benefits.
