Kashmir to make environmental studies of cities

State Forest Minister directed the officials the to come up with necessary recommendations to develop a planned and pollution free cities

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir's environment and remote sensing department will conduct exhaustive studies on the environmental aspects of its two capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar, besides prominent tourist destinations of the state.

State Forest Minister Mian Altaf Thursday directed the department to take up environmental studies of Jammu and Srinagar as well as Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Patnitop and come up with necessary recommendations to develop them as planned and pollution free cities and tourist spots.
