Kronos workforce management soln a hit in India

Favourable response from the India Inc in recent times has prompted Kronos to expand its India operations and it recently opened a new centre at Noida

New Delhi: Workforce management solutions giant Kronos plans to go big way in the India market with also an eye on potential government sector.

As part of its move to expand its India operations Kronos recently opened a new corporate facility in the iconic 3Cs Knowledge Boulevard IT Park in Noida. It’s the third unit of the company in India after Bangalore and Mumbai.

“We plan to more than double the size of its engineering population in India within the next 24 months,” Kronos Chief Executive Officer Aron Ain told iGovernment.

Outlining the importance of workforce management and viability of Kronos solutions for organisations, Arin said labour was one of the largest controllable expenses for organisations, representing as much as 60 per cent of their budget.

By using a Kronos solution to reduce over payments, eliminate manual processes and over-scheduling, and provide visibility into labour-related metrics, organisations can yield a 3-5 per cent savings in payroll costs, he claimed.

Leading organisations — including more than 600 of the Fortune 1000 companies — are achieving significant business benefits using Kronos solutions, Arin said.

The India market — particularly in the manufacturing, healthcare, and services sectors — is increasingly embracing the benefits of using workforce management solutions.

With a labor force of 467 million workers within organisations that typically rely on manual processes to manage the time and attendance process, India represents a tremendous opportunity for Kronos to revolutionise the way businesses manage their workforces.

Whether they plan to make inroads in government sector to sell their software as it has the biggest workforce; Arin said they have plans to move in the sector but “not immediately”.

Kronos revenue in India increased 300 per cent in the past 12 months. Its growing customer base in India includes leading multi-nationals and local organisations.

Bombardier Transportation ,Eaton, Genpact, Hindustan Zinc, Medanta – The Medicity, one of India's largest multi-super specialty institutes; and Viraj Profiles, one of the world’s largest producers of stainless steel products are some of the organisations in India who have adopted Kronos solutions to boost their worforce productivity.
