In a written communication to the Rajya Sabha, the Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Vilas Muttemwar said that these villages were identified by Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) as remote villages.

He further said that proposals for installation of Wind Solar Hybrid Systems of 2.7 kW each in 139 tribal hostels in Jaspur and Sarguja Districts were also sanctioned in the state during 2007-08.

dear sir,
i am working with a tribal school in balengapara, kondagaon. it is a school run by a charitable trust. we are now residents of that village. there is electricity in all the surrounding villages but in balengapara. From the past 18-20 years people who stay near balengapara have been enjoying the advantages of electricity but people of balengapara have got tired of making applications to the government to bring electricity to their village. can someone tell me why this discrimination is being made? why the government is ignoring this particular village?

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Greetings from Shikhar Yuva Manch !!
Join & Support the Mega campaign on GLOBAL WARMING & CLIMATE CHANGE.
10-10-10-10 campaign (Date-10, Month-10, Time -10 am, Do 10 things)
As you know…
Global warming has emerged as one of the most important contentious international environmental issue. International efforts are ongoing to address this issue and in every summit this issue is being discussed. In the recently concluded G-8 summit the issue of global warming catches the attention of both the developed and developing countries.
All these are modern industrialized states and in the process of their modernization, their economic development, environment has been affected considerably. Jared Diamond, in his 2005 book, "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed,” says ecological devastation brought down earlier failed ones citing one or more proximate causes:
• Deforestation and habitat destruction;
• soil degradation through erosion, salinization or fertility decline;
• water management problems
• over-hunting and/or fishing;
• over-population growth;
• increased per capita impact on the environment; and
• the impact of exotic species on native plant and animal ones.
In the present globalize industrial states, the earth is getting warmer day by day. The burning of fossil fuels and other green house gases is causing:
· Arctic ice cap melting;
· Rising sea levels;
· Changed rainfall patterns;
· Increased frequency and intensity of weather extremes like floods, droughts, killer heat waves, wildfires, and hurricanes and cyclones.
· A plague of infectious diseases
· Water scarcity;
· Agricultural disruption and loss of arable land;
· As many as one-third of plant and animal species extinct by 2050, and
· Increasing disease, displacement and economic losses from natural calamities like hurricanes, other extreme weather-related events, lowering of ocean pH, reductions in the ozone layer, and the possible introduction of new phenomena unseen before or never extreme enough to threaten human life or environmental sustainability that will when we experience them.
Support the Mega campaign on Global Worming and join our hands.

Dear Editor,
It is time we need this green energy. It is good that such an effort has been made. I, on behalf of women would like to focus on the following issue:
1.All self-help groups in villages can be given opportunity for enterprise development for selling solar cookers. It is a great boon for the housewives in energy and time saving.
2. Intensive marketing promotion in urban areas through private entreprenuers, preferably women should be immediately promoted.
We do not have any information dissemination or marketing on the solar energy promotion and the houshold items like a solar cooker.
We urgently need to save our environment by using gree energy.
We would like to take up a nation wide campaign with organizations working with women and prepare a group of women marketing these products, if the products are ready, can be manufactured and marketed. This green project is aimed to link up sustainablity as well as livelihood of poorer families. This would benefit women and benefit the environment in a big way.
For further information and knowledge exchange on this project, please contact me : bonanidhar@rediffmail.com

In the wind solar hybrid system, what is the cost perKWH?
Are any storage batteries used and what is the voltage of distribution ?
How much connected load has been allowed to each user.What are the billing rates to consumers per KWH.
What is the cost per month for maintenance to the REC?
Thank you, Regards, K K Vaisoha

i would like to know:
-for how many hours the electricity would be made available in these villages;
- was there any study conducted to find about the energy requirment of these villages; and
- is there any such scheme in existance for other vilages as well.

dear sir,

Putting the system something and keeping it in running condition is something. Govt. should device some system which is not on papaer to ensure that the serviceing, repair and earning can be done by participation of user or by useing ex police, defence persoanls.

The system can be like this:
1.install the system in presence of the earmarked ex police, BSF, CRPF ,Army person who learn while in project stage.
2.Do not keep any agaency for repair between supplier and user.That money should be used in fund to give salary to these service agent.
3 These agent will act as eye and ear of govt. in all the remote area and with their past experience will help locals to come up in life. the life of these ex home min, army people will also improve.
4have mobile dcharger system in each village and charge money 50 paise / one rs. to charge the mobile.
5. put up battery charger and take some fees to charge battery.
there are amny more system where as we can boost villagers income by giving them product support [what they produce and what they have knowledge] ths will help in social welfare and things will be cool in lower level with less problem due to no money and income generation.
7. use LED lights and just forget all problems associated with solar lights.

with best regrds,

Raj
