I have been recently told by a vet centre that there is no institution or department in Kolkata to pursue cases regarding animal cruelty. How True it is? Please let me know.
Hope the government along with the act gets some good department to look into the implementation of the act too. I would say instead of appointing a department to look after the implementation the local bodies should recognise NGOs as well as individuals who really feel for the cause, train them and then give them powers to make the implementation sure shot.
What to talk of animals, even the humans beings are treated the same way.
Look at education, no new technical colleges, no Navodaya Vidyalayas, students roaming all over the country, for tech education etc.
Re employment, Bengalese used to import domestic servants from Bihar, Orissa etc. Today they are themselves seeking similar jobs in Delhi Mumbai etc.
Labour Laws implementation is almost non-existant.
So and so forth.
Government must take appropriate steps and culprit must be punished.
